Payment
Payment for boat transportation is due upon booking or, at the latest, 7 days prior (or sooner if booked during the same week) to collection/delivery and can be paid by bank transfer or cash.
For all jobs booked, the following time schedules apply in regard to cancellations:
a) Within 10 days – full refund given
b) Within 9 to 3 days – 50% refund
c) Less than 3 days – no refund given
(In the event of any cancellation, there will be a 10% admin fee.)
Payments for the transportation of boats are required in advance of movement, with at least a deposit paid. The balance can be settled via bank transfer or cash on delivery.
If no payment is received, we reserve the right to impound the boat at one of our depots for a maximum period of 14 days at a rate of £25 storage charge per day, with an additional transportation charge to take the boat to our nearest storage depot.
Once our fees have been paid, we will redeliver to the customer’s chosen location at a charge of £2.50/mile plus £50.
If our fees and charges are not paid within 14 days, we reserve the right to sell the boat to retrieve our losses. If the boat is sold, any balance remaining will either be written off or pursued in court. Any excess funds will be returned to the customer.
The customer will be given seven days' notice prior to the sale of the boat.
Prohibited Uses
You may use our services only for lawful purposes. You may not use our site:
a) In any way that breaches applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
b) In any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect.
Boat Collections
We are not insured to carry passengers.
We will not be held responsible for items that fall off during transportation. If older or salvaged boats are being transported, sunroofs, panels, etc., must be securely tied down or locked in position. If anything is missing or damaged during transportation, we will not bear responsibility for that loss/damage.
All boats must be ready for our drivers on arrival. In the event we arrive at the customer’s collection point and the boat is not ready or we experience delays (e.g., brakes stuck, flat tyres), causing a wait of over 30 minutes, the fee paid will be non-refundable or a waiting charge of £45/hour will be applied (subject to our discretion).
Safety / Weather Conditions
In the event we are unable to complete a job due to adverse weather conditions (e.g., snow or floods), and the job has to be rescheduled for these reasons, provided we are given at least 3 days’ notice, we will reschedule free of charge.
If my driver arrives to collect a boat and the weather conditions are too dangerous to continue, the job will be cancelled, and no refund will be given. This also applies if the driver starts the job and, due to road safety concerns, has to return the boat to the collection point.
Information Provided
It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate information regarding the boat we are contracted to collect/deliver.
If we are stopped on the roadside by a government body (e.g., Ministry of Transport or traffic police) and found to be breaking any laws while transporting a customer’s boat due to incorrect or misleading information, the customer is liable for any fines and must arrange alternative transportation to complete the journey. Any monies paid will not be refunded, and additional charges will apply for time wasted and fines incurred. This also applies to boats that turn out to be stolen.
Boat Collections
If we arrive to collect a boat and discover issues like non-working brakes, stuck wheels, flat tyres, or faulty lights, the boat movement will either be cancelled, or a waiting fee of £45/hour will apply until the boat is ready. If the issues are not resolved within an hour, the job will be cancelled without a refund. If you have any concerns about the state of your boat before collection, please contact us at least 3 days in advance.
A spare wheel/tyre must be provided with your boat in case of a blowout. We will not be held financially responsible for this, and an additional charge of £25 will apply for the time taken to change the wheel.
If no spare tyre is available and a puncture occurs, an additional £45/hour will be charged while awaiting tyre repair.
On collection, the boat must be fully prepared, including any necessary adjustments or removal of personal belongings. If these are not done, either a waiting fee will apply, or the boat movement will be cancelled without a refund.
We will not be held responsible for any accidents or damage to a boat if issues such as wheel bearings disintegrating or brakes sticking lead to structural damage. The customer is liable for the outcome of such damage.
Please note, if a boat is released to us in an unroadworthy condition and subsequently breaks down, the customer is responsible for the recovery of the boat to its final destination. In extreme cases, the boat may be left at the breakdown site.
Damage in Transit
Please note, we are not responsible for any damage incurred while the boat is in transit, including items falling off, stone chips to paintwork, or window damage.
Customer Vehicle and Boat Delivery Checks
At the time of delivery, the customer is responsible for checking for any damage to the boat. If any damage or issues are noticed, they must be reported to the driver at the time of delivery and immediately notified to Harry on +44 7453 575 125 (by text if after 5 pm). This applies regardless of the delivery time. We will not accept liability for any damage reported after the driver has left the delivery location.
